On 11 May 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Kuwait, Emil Karimov, held a meeting with Tareq Sulaiman Ahmed Al-Roumi, Minister of Oil of the State of Kuwait and Chairman of the Board of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of friendly relations and cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Kuwait, recent regional developments, as well as prospects for cooperation in the energy sector. The sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the fields of the oil and gas industry, energy security, and energy markets.
